Speaker Bio
Brian R. Sherman, MS, CPE; Director of Ergonomic Services, The Ergonomics Center of North Carolina, North Carolina State University, has twelve years professional working experience applying industrial engineering, human factors engineering and biomechanics concepts including ergonomics program development and application to the workplace. Before joining the ECNC, Brian worked for several large manufacturers including Johnson Controls, Incorporated, Honda of America, Manufacturing, Incorporated and General Motors Corporation. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1992 and a Masters of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering – Human Factors Option from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in 1995. Brian holds CPE certification through the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics and is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
